Weight Loss vs. Fat Loss
Most people say they want to lose weight. What they actually mean is that they want to lose fat. If you starve yourself, the number on the scale will drop, but you will likely lose muscle mass along with fat. The result? The “skinny-fat” look—a smaller version of your current self, but with a slower metabolism and lower energy levels.
To achieve a “Healthy Shape,” your goal is Recomposition:
- Decrease Body Fat %: This reveals the definition.
- Maintain/Increase Muscle Mass: This creates the curves and the shape.
